A graduate of U.C. Berkeley and Hastings College of the Law, Robin May has also been a member of the Oakland Symphony, San Francisco Ballet, and the Festival Orchestras of Tanglewood, Cabrillo, and the Lake Tahoe Summer Music Festival. He has been a member of the SFCO for more than 20 years and has served as both player and personnel manager during that time. He teaches oboe and chamber music in Levico, Italy in July each year and has performed with the San Francisco Symphony and Opera Orchestras on many occasions. Besides playing oboe, Robin enjoys skiing, sea kayaking, wine making, and spending time with his wife Patrice and two teenaged children, Thomas and Anna.
